Who in the World is Landen Chapman?
I’m glad you asked. My upbringings come from the middle of nowhere in the small town of Mendenhall, Mississippi, where I would live my out entire college experience from start to finish. I started my studies as a history major until I realized I couldn’t see myself working in on history manifestos for the rest of my life. It was then that I dug deep into what I wanted to do with my future career and shifted over to graphic design. As I shifted into a graphic design major, I saw a huge world of potential in regards to how to approach the different projects across 5 years of study at the University of Southern Mississippi.
In terms of my style of graphic design, I try not to stick to one style too much, with constant shifts in ideas between my array of projects. Of anything, I always enjoy an opportunity to learn a new way of thinking in design, whether it be attempting new styles of design, making something I’ve never made before, or just approaching projects in a way that’s different from my usual approach. At the end of each project it’s always about what unique skill did I improve at while working on a design.
Outside of school and work, I’m a nerdy, lighthearted old soul that loves playing a round of cards with his friends and trying to expand my horizons with all sorts of new skills. From playing Magic the Gathering with my hometown friends to making books and apparel, I’m always trying to develop my creative brain in as many ways as possible.
